The Northeast Vancouver Early Years Centre (NVEYC) is committed to work in collaborative partnerships to provide inclusive early years supports and services to all families located in the Northeast area of Vancouver
Collaborative Delivery
The NVEYC is hosted by Kiwassa Neighbourhood House, and delivered in partnership with public and community partners including Eastside Family Place, Frog Hollow Neighbourhood House, StrongStart programs at Tillicum Annex Elementary and McDonald Elementary and leadership partners Vancouver Board of Education, Vancouver Coastal Health, Vancouver Public Library and Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre.
Who and How we Serve
The Northeast Vancouver Early Years Centre serves families with young children (0-5 yrs) in the Hastings-Sunrise and Grandview-Woodlands neighbourhoods of Vancouver. The Centre provides access to programs, services, information and referrals, supporting healthy child development, parenting, health & nutrition, and kindergarten transitions.
We provide information about and access to:
• Parent-child drop-ins and StrongStart programs
• Parent/caregiver networking and support
• Family services and parenting programs
• Licensed and Registered child care and preschool
• Child care subsidy information
• Parent education and workshops
• Recreational community programs
• Immigrant and refugee programs and supports
•Public health services including:
– Maternal-newborn services
– Perinatal education and support
– Child health & immunization clinics
– Dental and vision screening
